Thurston?

Taken in Westchester County, New York, by Wes Davis.

In addition to went missing  (and I sincerely hope that Thurston has “turned up”!), I like how the owners fudged on the question of British vs American date style by doing both: “March 14th March.” Or almost both–the th is American.

  1. Are you specifically referring to the superscript “th” as American? Using ordinals in dates is very common in the UK, and as I understood it was far more common than in America.

And I also hope that poor Thurston is safely back home by now!

  2. I didn’t know that. I feel like I always see “14 March” there (UK) and “March 14th” here (U.S.).
